Welcome to my campaign website! I'm running for Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina because It's time to change the leadership in state government.
The liberal politicians in Raleigh have sapped our strength with corporate and individual taxes that are too high, robbed the Highway Trust Fund and neglected our roads and highways, and turned a blind eye to the fundamental failures of our children's schools.
Our state can do better. The people of our state are wonderful, hard-working, God-fearing people. I'm a conservative businessman, and I believe we should be the Southeast's leader in attracting strong companies and good jobs. Our children should be getting a quality education. We should be able to lower the cost of healthcare for seniors and families with children. And we should be fighting illegal immigration, not opening the door to illegal aliens to swamp our hospitals and schools.
As a Republican State Senator, I've traveled the state with Governor Martin talking about ways to trim the fat in state government and our $20 BILLION state budget - so taxpayers pay less in taxes and get more for their tax dollars. I've introduced legislation to lower our tax rates – to relieve North Carolina taxpayers from a tax burden that is the highest in the Southeast.
To make positive changes for our future, we must change the leadership in Raleigh. Only then can we arrive at new solutions and solve the problems facing our families and holding back our businesses.
